Fernanda Salgado, MD, is a skilled dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is committed to providing the highest quality dermatologic care to her patients at Dermatology Arts in South Pasadena, California.
Dr. Salgado completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in biology. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and served as chapter Vice President. Based on her outstanding dedication to patient care, she was also honored to be one of a handful of students elected by her peers and faculty to serve in the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Salgado completed her internship at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and her residency training in Dermatology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She received extensive training in a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders.
Dr. Salgado’s clinical interests include complex medical dermatology, pigmentary and inflammatory skin disorders, as well as skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. Outside work, Dr. Salgado enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and doing outdoor activities. She also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
